: (by the way, i don't find this page very user friendly,
: i never know where to look for new messages,
: perhaps i'm just not used to these kind of pages)
if you're using different computers, then yes, it's a problem checking the dates
for now, the best i can do is show messages from the last couple of days in bold on the main page
if you're using the same computer, then links to new messages are usually blue
and links to messages you have already seen are purple
(unless the writer of the page has specified different colours)
you can change how many days a message you have seen stays purple -
(sorry, i don't know the French vocabulary that is used...)
in Firefox go to Tools-Options-Privacy-History-"remember visisted pages for the last ... days"
(enter a number, tick the box, then click "OK")
in Internet Explorer go to Tools-Internet Options-General-History-"Days to keep pages in history"
(change the number then click "OK")
(i have it set for 90 days, but some people prefer 30 days, or even 7 days)
if the number is set to 0, then visited and non-visited links will probably all be the same colour (usually blue)
if the links are not coloured, or you want to change the colours -
in Firefox go to Tools-Options-Content-Colours-Link Colours
(click on the coloured boxes to select different colours, then click ok)
in Internet Explorer go to Tools-Internet Options-General-Colors-Links
(click on the coloured boxes to select different colours, then click ok)
these instructions are for Firefox 2.0 and Internet Explorer 6.0 -
the instructions may be different in earlier and later versions
link colours can also be changed by setting a user style sheet
(this may be able to override the colours specified by the writer of the page)
