As usual in the months leading up to Christmas, Seamus had a job in the centre of London playing the role of Santa Claus, this year at Harrods. He collapsed outside the tube station and was immediately unconcious. Passers-by called an ambulance, but he never recovered consciousness and died on the way to hospital. It was very sudden and he didn't suffer any pain.
Seamus had been to a medical examination not too long before and was passed as fit, but at the autopsy on Nov 6th, it was found that there had been a serious problem with his heart which wouldn't have been easily detected.
There will be Humanist Service and a Party/Wake for him in Rousdon (near Lyme Regis), details of which will be announced on Seamusrousdon's Weblog (*). All his friends, old and new, are welcome to come, and play music and celebrate his life.
